We at accensors are constantly researching and developing new sensor ideas and concepts. Our goal is to detect new parameters, to realize more stable sensors or to increase cost potential through new materials or production processes.
In one of our patent applications we focus on the topic of “single cell detection”.
Our idea is to detect single cells by means of a very fine resolution IDES structure.
The analysis medium is excluded in the spaces between the IDES by means of a capillary volume, for example a foam material. Thus, only the cells to be detected remain on the sensor surface and can be sensed by means of electronic measuring methods such as high-frequency impedance measurement.
Such a sensor can be used, for example, to detect legionella in drinking water.
